I'm not sure about this head tilt stuff Ta'elata does because when you ask her to take a picture she tilts her head crazy little girl!

This is embarrassing because Mele Koula is almost 6 months old and I'm just posting pics of her on the website. The name is Tongan and means Marigold...really cute name! Mele Koula is my brother in law Fred's first baby. I wasn't able to post the pics on Myfamily.com website for the family so I'm posting them on our blog.

BYU/PSU GAME PORTLAND, OR NOV.14,2008

We had so much at the game. Lex lost his voice because he was yelling the whole time and I don't think that he sat down the whole game. Thank you so much Uncle Sione for getting us tickets to the game. Keilani played a great game and it would have been a win for BYU if the refs were not calling so many fouls on BYU!!! Mike was at the game with us too but I didn't get a picture with my camera. We can't wait til she comes back to Portland to play University of Portland. I really messed up because I had no idea that Portland State school colors were green....yeah I'm fired. We will all be sporting BYU attire next game!!!

I counted one two three before I took the pic but not everyone was ready!

I thought I would include a video of the cheerleaders!!! I wish I would have gotten video of them jumping of the benches!.....No Worries everyone behaved themselves.

Hanging Out with Auntie Lesieli

Lesieli and I went to eat at the Cheesecake Factory this week to catch up on each others life's. Its always so much fun when we hang out! We went on Tuesday ....yes the depressing day!!! We heard everyone cheer and we didn't want to turn around and look at the tv because we were afraid of facing the fact! Our waitress came over to ask if we wanted to order some cheesecake and we told her that we lost our appetite because of the outcome of the election. She then preceded to tell us she voted for Obama!!! She caught herself and put her hand over her mouth and said,"I just lost my tip". Needless to say she didn't come check on us again besides us calling her over to get our cheescakes to go and our check. We didn't give her the best tip but lets just say we would have given her a bonus if Mccain won and she voted for him. We decided to make a political statement before we left, one last hoorah for MCcain. We put on our receipt MCCAIN 2008!

CAN'T WAIT!!!

I was really hesitant about the whole Twilight series because I wasn't a Harry Potter fan but I have to say that I started reading and had all four books done in a matter of three weeks!!!! I even brought one of my book's to a birthday party so I could read it under the table. I don't have any Portland groupies so I'm going to have to drag my husband to at least watch the movie three or four times!!!! Enjoy the new trailer.

Last Couple of Months

Game Day at church...pigging out on watermelon!!! We went to go see Kung Fu Panda. I was hesitant at first because I had heard mixed reviews. It was her first movie and she sat through about 3/4 of it!!! It was a pretty good movie but if I had a boy I think it would have been a bad choice just because I could seem a boy trying to Kung Fu Panda everyone!!!! CHEESE! Fourth of July Dance at Church Daddy and the Sea Lions at the Portland Zoo I swear there was a giraffe in this pic!!! Driving the Safari truck at the zoo!!! Lex's cousin Mate plays for the USA Rugby team and they came to Portland for a game so we went to cheer him on. I cropped myself out because it just wasn't a very good pic of me so I figured I'm the editor of this blog and I have the authority to do those things!!!! Pictured Bro Unga, Hot stuff, Mate, Joey(nephew), and Taelata A wedding!

AHHH YW CAMP!!!

I've been so bad with posting lately and I have been taking crazy pics but no time to download!! I'm writing this post in desperation. I was recently called at the Stake YW secretary, which needless to say puts me in charge of a lot of the activities for girls camp. I have to be in charge of the morning 45 minute devotional everyday!!! AHHH I have crazy ideas floating in my head but haven't locked anything down!! I can do a craft, skit, or anything of that nature! I can't remember the exact wording of the theme but it is stand strong in the gospel or something of that nature. I'm pleading to all to send your memories of devotionals my way from girls camp. GOsh I only went three years and remember things like "sipping cider song", fighting over tents, making bead rings(which where the coolest things ever), and dutch oven. Can't wait to hear all your amazing ideas. Love to all! Stacy

Sitting Alone!!!!

On Sunday our ward spilt so now we have the Rose City Tongan 1st ward and the Rose City Tongan 2nd ward. The youth refer to it as the "EASTSIDE!!!" and the "WESTSIDE!!!!!" LOL! The stake had to organize and new bishopric and Lex got called as the 2nd counselor in the 2nd ward! We have known for awhile because of our interview with the stake. He has been super busy already with his new calling because they have to call new callings for the entire ward! He is going to be in charge of the primary, youth and ysa! He is really excited about the challenge ahead of him. The only thing is that I can't sit by my sweet hubby in church anymore. He is probably glad because he doesn't have to listen to my tone death voice on Sunday. I've been trying to explain to Tallie that daddy has to sit on the stand and we can't talk to him when he is on the stand. She is still insisting to stand up in the pew and wave, and say "hi DAD!"! I included a pic of Tal and daddy before church and Tal's new backpack that grandma got her its too cute!!! I'll have a ton new pics soon because we are heading to FL tomorrow for Les's graduation!!! We will also be visiting Mickey Mouse and Shamu!!! Later family and friends LOve Love

Yong Women recognition Night

I'm in charge of the Personal Progress for the ward and also the YW secretary! We have about about 50 YW and we average about 95 to 100 percent attendance every Sunday!!! Its super crazy!!! Church we average about 500 people....no worries though because we are splitting the ward this Sunday!!! Yeah! I wanted to post some pics of the girls that received their Medallions. I was really worried at first if they were going to make it but they all got it done!!! WHOPPEEE!!!! I'm also posting some pics of the my other YW!!! I'm the white girl in the pic!!!haha....Its just me and two other white people at church or as the Tongans would say "palangi" Its all good. My hubby is such a "white" boy!!! He hates it when I say that...but we both went back and forth on wether to go to a "palangi" ward but we want our daughter to know about her culture and she has that chance to embrass it at church. We figure she gets enough "white" at home. I have never been in a ward that has so many activities we are always doing something!!!Enjoy the pics!

Glenn Beck's Tribute to President Hinckley

I'm a huge fan of Glenn Beck and I wanted to post the comment he said about President Hinckley. Please check out www.glennbeck.com and watch the video he is clearly trying to hold back his emotions while talking about such an incredible man of God.
Tribute to late LDS President Hinckley
January 28, 2008 - 17:36 ET
Personal note, this is -- gosh, I hope this year gets easier for me personally. This has been quite honestly one of the most difficult years, and I know we're not even out of January yet, but this has been one of the most difficult months I have had in my life since, oh, gosh, it has to be back in my days of alcoholism or divorce. It's been a very rough few months and you know what -- or few weeks. You know part of that and I'm not going to go into it again because I can't take it anymore but there's another side of that that we're just having -- our family is working very hard together on some things that are happening and I ask for your prayers on. But last night it was about 1:30, none of us in our house had found a bed before 2:00 in the last few days and last night it was about 1:30, we all went upstairs finally, said good night to each other. My wife and I were in our closet and we were changing into our pajamas and we were chatting and there was a soft knock at the door and it was my eldest daughter Mary and she said, "Dad, I just checked my e-mail and President Hinckley has passed away." If you don't know who President Hinckley is, you are not in the minority. Most people have never heard of this man. You may have seen him on Larry King Live one time. He was on a couple of times. He is the president of the LDS church and he is a 97-year-old man, one of the sweetest men I have ever seen. I never met, I never met him. Larry King actually talked to me and said one of the most amazing men he's ever met, Gordon B. Hinckley and I said, I imagine. And he said, you haven't met him? And I said, no, sir. And he said, you want to? I said, no, no, that's okay. He said, no, I'll line it up; I'll call Gordon up; you two should meet. I said, no, no, that's okay, I don't need to meet him. It's not like I was a fan of him. I was in awe of him. And that's what Larry King said to me. He said, all you Mormons are alike. You are all in awe of that man. And I said, he is an amazingly sweet and powerful man. A few, I think it was three years or so ago his wife that he had been married to absolutely forever passed away and it was so sad when she passed away because he was lost without her. They were connected and they were one and they were a way a marriage should be and it was amazing to watch the two together. And last night I had wondered for a while, I had really, truly wondered for a while what it was going to be like when this guy passes away because honestly he was like, he's just one of the sweetest guys I had ever seen. Well, last night I found out. Honestly I had thought in my head, because he had been sick for a while, I'm going to be devastated the day he dies. My daughter knocked on the door last night. She said, Dad, President Hinckley just died. My first thought, my very first thought in my image of my mind was him and his sweet wife arm in arm, together again at last. It was a happy moment. It shocked me. I knew he was back with his wife. We all knelt down around our bed and I have never in my life felt, I have never in my life felt what I felt last night in prayer. I just wanted to thank God for putting yet another amazing individual down on Earth. We're surrounded by amazing people. We watch people all the time. We are influenced by different people, just people who stand for something, just people who say, you know what, I'm going to be a decent human being. And you watch them and they affect your life. Gordon B. Hinckley affected my life. I watched him. I learned from him. He said one time, and I hear it all the time in my head: If what you're doing doesn't have eternal consequences, why are you doing it. I think of that all the time. I think of the way he just told the truth even when it was tough. For people who are of my faith today, today I guess people would think would be a sad day. For me it's a very, very happy day, a very happy day. If you are not of my faith, I ask you just to reflect on one thing today. Who is that one person in your life that stands for something. Who is that one person in your life that you look at and just say, wow, I want to be a little more like that person. Ponder them before you lose them. Maybe call them and thank them for the influence that they've had on your life. And if you don't have somebody like that in your life, look for somebody today. They seem to become more and more rare. They seem to pass on far too quickly even if they are 97 years old.
